Find me.

Editors Note: Hi 2025 me, idk what 2022 me was on. The search IS still up though, heck some of my friends pointed out that this very article and my reddit posts were featured on a youtube iceberg video. Anyway enjoy.

This is probably the weirdest DVD I have, which isn't saying much, but we all have that one creepy thing we can't seem to forget, here's mine!

It was a DVD, with content quite ordinary for what you'd expect in a toddler movie, teaching the ABCs and the colours in an extremely thick Indian accent. I tried to upload this portion into Youtube, but turns out its copyright claimed, not like it's a loss for humanity.

After that movie was also this hilarious commercial, which I leave here. I watched the tape again recently (editors note: back in 2021) feeling nostalgic, but just as the advert ended there was another movie which I'd never seen before.

It was a compilation of nursery rhymes, much like what that commercial was advertising, though with non-original cartoons stolen from elsewhere, and the audio of the animation replaced with the nursery rhyme.

I was quite interested, and thanks to the efforts of some in the Lost Media Wiki discord, I found about half of the sources, mainly some old cartoons and '90s American TV specials.

However, the other cartoons shown have unknown origins, and to my knowledge have never been seen before by a Western audience. Are these shows some last remnant of a show lost to time? Are they some random show no one cares about? Probably the latter, but I was still curious.

Here's what I found about the production.

Looking at the files through my old PC's DVD player, there is one file in the DVD that wasn't played, a loading screen which shows that it was a compilation of 3 different CDs to sell for toddlers by a company called "Nero CD House", which is headquarted in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where I happened to live in between 2010-2014.

This means that the footage here was compiled by whatever the store happened to have in their collection, and burned into a CD to sell as a compilation for babies. This was done in 2011, so we can make a guess that it's at least from that date, and rules out that the Indian movie and the compilation have anything to do with each other.

The footage of the cartoons started with a code, SRVCD 28074 to be specific, which was used by a company called Spectrum Musical Productions, a Malaysian company that started in 1990 that produced lots of childrens content in both Chinese and english.

Above you can see the code SRVCD 28023, all their known products have this code.

But, the amount of people who remember some 12+ year old "movie" they sold out of hundreds and where they sampled the cartoons would probably be about in the range of none. Besides, I don't think the company is operational anymore, they don't really have any record of existing on the internet beyond their registration in a government website and second-hand DVD sales in Asian websitezs.

So, dear reader, this is where you come in, see if you can recognize the below. Can you remember?

If you're happy and you know it CLAP YOUR HANDS!

Shoutout to "Ed's Stuff" for recognizing it! They didn't remember the channel or the name, but they do remember watching it on TV in America, as some sort of detective show.

Hello, hello, and hello again. These hands that seem to just be wailing around in an elementary classroom all wave at you. And also a cloud appears midway and wails around.

This girl has an eventful day, she wakes up, goes out to play in the field, and then cavemen and decapitated heads appear out of nowhere. Do you know her?

Head, shoulders, knees and wtf is that. Maybe skip this one.

Gee, I so look forward for the episode where Tom sings and plays "Follow me, ABC" on the orchestra.

The whole animations can be found here and here

Split into two because that's how it was encoded.
